Shaun successfully represented his client, Ili's Painting, at trial and received judgment for two separate liens. Further, Shaun argued, and the Court accepted, that the Defendant received written estimates before work began and allowed work to proceed, and was bound by the terms of the estimates - the Court noted "I find that by allowing the work to continue long after having received the written estimate from Ili's, the Defendant accepted those terms by acquiescence."
Shaun was successful on a summary trial for his client Slimdor Contracting Ltd., a lien claimant. Both of Slimdor's liens were found valid, and found that it was entitled to its pro-rata share of the lien fund.
Shaun successfully had builder's liens struck and a certificate of lis pendens discharged from the landlord's title. The liens were found to have been wrongly filed against the wrong title.
